Software Development Engineer 3

Summary of the role

We are looking for a Java developer with experience in Java and API development skills. You will be coding and testing the Operational control application.

Your main responsibilities

Work out what users need: then:

• Come up with plans to create new application software or improve what we have.
• Model, design and implement databases as necessary.

Use your technical skills to give users what they re after. You ll do that by:

• Coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining software solutions.

• Writing testable efficient code.
• Working with scrum product owner and scrum master in Agile environment.
• Developing your software to follow our standards and quality guidelines .

Check your solutions work . You ll:

• Run unit, package and performance tests.

• Go through the phase of checking your software works for other people.
• Fine-tune your software as a result of all your testing.

Help get your software out into the world. You ll:

• Create documents to help our departments use your software.

• Debug software based on Problem Tracking Records and Change Requests from Product owners and stakeholders.

About the ideal candidate

• Having 5+ years of experience in Jave based technology.
• Should have worked as a Full stack developer .
• Contributing to all phases of Application development.
• Good to have a hands-on Knowledge in using advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS/KnockoutJS/ NodeJS/ ReactJS.
• An added advantage will be to have experience on CI/CD, JQuery, Microservices, DevOps in AWS/Azure/Google cloud.
• Manage the functional, senior manager and local stakeholders ensuring a proper communication channel is built and regular updates on the team and delivery is shared to stakeholders.
• Assist the management in setting objectives and driving the team towards achieving the team and individual objective.
• Experience working with agile methodologies.
• Good English verbal and written communication skills.
