Welding Machines Service Technician

Role & responsibilities

• Equipment Repair & Maintenance:
  
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair welding machines, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and plasma cutters.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Replace faulty components, including electrical parts, motors, and wiring.
• Installation & Setup:
  
• Install new welding machines and equipment at customer sites.
• Configure machines for optimal operation, ensuring proper setup according to customer needs and manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshooting:
  
• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues with welding machines.
• Provide quick, effective solutions to minimize downtime for customers.
• Customer Support & Training:
  
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers on-site and over the phone.
• Educate customers on machine operation, safety procedures, and preventative maintenance.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  
• Maintain accurate records of all service work performed, parts replaced, and customer interactions.
• Report any recurring machine issues or potential improvements to the management team.
• Safety Compliance:
  
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
• Use appropriate safety gear and follow safety protocols while handling equipment and performing repairs.

Preferred candidate profile

• Certifications: Many employers prefer candidates with certifications in welding technology, electrical systems, or specific equipment brands.
• Experience: Previous experience working as a welding technician or in a related mechanical or electrical repair field is often required.
