In this role, you will leverage your technical and analytical skills to transform data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing data in BigQuery, designing and building insightful dashboards in Looker Studio, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management Transformation:
Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable BigQuery data pipelines.
Write complex SQL queries to retrieve, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing validation checks and optimizing data structures.
Data Visualization Reporting:
Build, optimize, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Looker Studio to present data-driven insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translating them into effective visualizations and dashboards.
Ensure that dashboards are user-friendly, insightful, and aligned with business goals.
Collaborative Analysis:
Work closely with stakeholders across departments (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to understand business needs and define data requirements.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic business decisions.
Train end-users on how to use Looker Studio dashboards effectively.
Data Governance Optimization:
Maintain best practices for data governance, privacy, and security in compliance with industry standards.
Optimize BigQuery performance, including cost management and query optimization strategies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and Looker Studio (or Data Studio).
Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL and comfortable writing complex queries in BigQuery.
Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data modeling.
Solid understanding of data visualization principles and experience designing reports in Looker Studio.
Experience with data warehousing and knowledge of cloud-based data architecture.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) beyond BigQuery, including Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Dataflow.
