AVP/Director - Data Science (11-20 yrs)

Location : NOIDA, GGN, PUNE, BANGALORE

EXP : 12 - 17 YRS

Expertise : Exp in data science/ ML/ AI in the Insurance domain( particularly in P&C INSURANCE)

- Manage development right from Product conceptualization to development to General Availability to support/maintenance.

- Develop a Data Science Driven strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders

- Determine how to leverage data science, machine learning, and other analytical techniques to offer actionable insights for the insurance industry client

- Manage projects end to end where the candidate will be expected to setup a comprehensive stakeholder management, communication plan with internal and external leadership

- Develop project plan, manage risk and issues along with an effective mitigation strategy

- Define project schedules, allocate resources, scope and time management

- Align project objectives and project team's alignment on objectives

- Understand the customer needs and translate this to creating detailed use cases, design and/or implementation specifications for complex products / applications / solutions.

- Continuous design, development and implementation of all Data Science solutions

- Understand current market trends, risks and prevalent technologies used in Data Science and Insurance industry

What you'll bring to the team :

With a full delivery responsibility of Data Sciences unit, you will conceive, plan & execute to develop and deliver insurance-centric data Science solutions, helping the client and insurance industry harness the power of data to its advantage. You will bring together data science expertise, insurance domain knowledge, agile capabilities, cutting edge technology know-how, frameworks and automation assets to enhance data insights for customer success. This will translate into a great opportunity for delivering data solutions, identifying client opportunities, talent management and competency building

- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role with 10+ years of experience focused primarily in P&C Insurance segment

- Experience of implementing multiple AI/ ML projects end to end from conceptualization to production deployment

- Strong technical understanding of data science, machine learning, analytical methodologies and tools with hands on experience of when to use what and adapting to client's unique needs and scale

- Demonstrable track record in leading large, complex data science and analytics projects which drive tangible, significant business gains in P&C insurance domain

- Someone who knows how to frame business problems, help data scientists abstract that business problem into a technical structure they can model, coach them to explain their results to business leaders, considers usability and deployment, and develop careers.

- Proven project management and delivery expertise

- A knack for statistical analysis and predictive modelling

- Versatility with developing products on multiple technology stacks that get delivered in traditional data centers, public clouds, and private clouds.

- Polished verbal and written communication style.

- Ability to confidently build a strong rapport with project teams and the client

- Well versed with latest technology trends preferably in Insurance technology space

Good to have :

- Experience and detailed knowledge of the P&C Insurance industry. (MUST)

- Detailed, practical understanding of insurance operations and underwriting in addition to in depth knowledge of functional areas within diverse insurance organizations

- Strong insurance acumen
