Database Administrator - MongoDB (4-8 yrs)

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with experience in AWS RDS and MongoDB for a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our database systems, supporting 24/7 business operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer MS SQL Server (2019, 2016, 2012, 2008 R2) on standalone and cluster servers, including SQL Always On.

- Provide DBA production support, handle database upgrades and lead database migrations.

- Manage database security and implement best practices for data protection.

- Perform backup and restoration processes, ensuring disaster recovery and high availability of solutions.

- Monitor server health across different environments and manage capacity planning.

- Analyze data issues, propose solutions, and implement fixes to maintain system integrity.

- Lead process improvements, automate database tasks and drive team-level initiatives.

- Oversee the release of code changes and schema modifications to production environments.

- Utilize AWS services (RDS, EC2, S3) for instance migrations, upgrades, and RDS snapshots.

- Manage AWS VPC configurations, security settings, and Database Migration Service (DMS) tasks.

- Handle incident, change, and problem management according to ITIL practices.

- Work with both Linux and Windows operating systems to support database operations.

- Collaborate with teams using JIRA for project management and task tracking.

MongoDB Responsibilities : .

- Administer MongoDB with a focus on basic database management and security best practices.

- Manage MongoDB installations, user creation, and access controls.

- Utilize MongoDB tools for data management and monitoring.

- Integrate MongoDB administration with SQL and NoSQL database management.

Required Skills :

- MS SQL Server Administration (4+ years).

- Amazon RDS Administration.

- MongoDB Basic Administration (2+ years).

- PowerShell Scripting.

- AWS Services (RDS, EC2, S3).

- ITIL Processes.

- Experience with both Linux and Windows OS.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- AWS VPC Configuration.

- AWS DMS (Database Migration Service).

- Knowledge of JIRA.

- Basic understanding of PowerShell and automation scripts.
