Asst. Manager - Process Engineering - Sanpada

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineer (Assistant Manager) to join our team for a Chicken Processing Unit Project. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in process engineering, equipment installation, commissioning, automation, and ensuring the project's successful operational readiness and handover

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Engineering:
• Design, evaluate, and optimize process flows for chicken processing operations.
• Develop process documentation, including flow diagrams, P&IDs, and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., FSSAI, ISO, HACCP).
2. Equipment Installation & Commissioning:
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of process equipment, including cutting, chilling, freezing, and packaging systems.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution.
• Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) to validate equipment performance.
3. Automation & Controls:
• Implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate process control systems and ensure seamless operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues during commissioning and initial operations.
4. Project Execution:
• Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards during project execution.
• Maintain detailed project documentation for future reference and audits.
5. Operational Readiness & Handover:
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure the smooth transition from commissioning to operational readiness.
• Conduct training sessions for plant personnel on equipment and processes.
• Provide post-handover technical support to resolve initial operational challenges.

Communication: Foster effective communication between the project team and stakeholders

Preferred candidate profile

A. Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Process Engineering (or related field).
• Experience: 7-8 years in process engineering, preferably in the food processing industry (chicken processing experience will be an advantage).
• Strong understanding of Process equipment and automation systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software, process simulation tools, and automation platforms.
