. Partner with vendors/consultants and ensure continuous availability of Gates' PDM applications, troubleshoots application related issues and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on high severity failure.
Develop customizations and enhancements to Windchill and support industrial strength technical solutions (ie, reports, workflow, interfaces, program logic) using Java and Windchill APIs while meeting internal standards.
Conduct and leads unit testing of the solutions.
Drive performance related improvements within the application, database, and O/S layers. Assist Business Analysts with integration, regression, and acceptance testing. Document application architecture components and enhancements. Work with vendors/consultants to establish, create and execute deliverables. Project Manage system enhancements and small projects. Help business users with application training.
Assist users with data issues and matching business processes with application processes.
Work with other team members in learning other applications that the team supports, to effectively help where needed.
Other task, duties or special projects as directed by the IT Manager or IT Director of IT Operations. About You. Minimum 4 years of experience in an information systems or IT role. Minimum 3 years of experience implementing, supporting, or developing customizations in Windchill PDMLink or related applications.
Minimum 2 years' experience in requirements gathering and business process mappingin PLM/Engineering function of a discrete or process manufacturing industry.
Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, facilitation, problem-solving and consensus-building skills. Experience in both system administration and business administration of Windchill. 2 years' experience developing customizations in Windchill (10 or higher) using Java, SQL, PL/SQL, JSP, JavaScript, InfoEngine and APIs.
Experience in Windchill (10 or higher) Installation setup, Business/System Configuration, Re-hosting, CAD Integration, Business reporting and Cluster Architecture required.
Extremely self-motivated and has experience in working with manufacturing and engineering groups and related processes with the ability to lead analysis and remediation of technical problems of medium complexity.
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, energetic environment.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical language with all levels of staff and management.
Preferred Qualifications. Successful completion of PTC certification would be a plus.
Experience working with geographically distributed teams of developers, architects, and other support resources.
Experience working with Infrastructure teams on performance related issues (e.g., network, storage, CPU, memory, application, database). Manufacturing experience is desired.
Experience with other PLM applications like SAP/PLM, Teamcenter, will be a plus.
