Job Description
- Good know how on civil design for LV/ MV/ HV/ EHV substations and transmission lines from concept design to construction drawings. Working knowledge on T&D functions with respect to construction in coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Working knowledge of architectural and structural design of buildings, lattice steel structures design (Transmission Lines Towers, cable gantries, equipment support structures), foundation design for buildings, transformers, reactors & other outdoor equipment, tower lines for substations and transmission lines from concept design to construction drawings.
- Familiar with relevant codes & standards American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Building Code (IBC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Regional Standards, Quality and Metrology Organization (SASO), SEC standards etc.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of design software – SAP, STAAD Pro, GT Strudel, MS Excel, drafting tools, 3D platform and document management systems.
- Be passionate about structural and the power environment. Be a creative leader in design and project management. Have excellent technical skills and be able to mentor staff in their own development and the development of projects.
- Good communication skills, both in presentation and documentation with a good command over English.
