Job Description
As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services. Youll play a pivotal role in showing customers the value of our solutions and closing the sale.
As a Solutions Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
- Driving revenue by managing the pre-sales technical process and evangelizing Akamais technology to existing and prospective customers, and to drive new product and service offerings
- Working with direct sales to educate customers about our services - this includes site visits, presentations, and follow up on all customer related issues.
- Overseeing customer proposals with sales, ensuring that technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are properly defined.
- Supporting and educate Sales, Marketing and other internal departments to ensure that customers get appropriate updates, upgrades and event-oriented solutions
- Willing to travel approximately 30% pan-India
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 3 years of relevant experience in a customer facing environment such as technical sales or consulting
- Have 3 years of experience in Internet technologies, standards and protocols, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Web architecture and design
- Have knowledge or understanding in Application, API, Web Security & Infrastructure security including firewalls
- Experience working and understanding of either Web architecture or design/ Cloud Security/ Media expertise
- Demonstrate good written/verbal presentation skills and stakeholder collaboration
