Software Engineer Senior

Our Data Services team consists of collaborative, inclusive, and creative individuals. We develop data services with high reliability and massive scale on top of Akamai data processing platform.

Partner with the best

You will work at the heart of building and operating a reporting system on top of the next-generation data processing platform. You will join other talented engineers in a cross-functional scrum team owning the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based services and observability products used by internal and external Akamai customers.

As a Software Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Understanding product requirements, designing and developing highly scalable and reliable data services.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD environments.
• Cooperating with external engineering teams to build and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Have hands-on and commanding experience of developing softwares in any of the object-oriented languages (C++, Java, Python, etc).
• Have the ability to clearly communicate and drive technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Have experience with networking protocols HTTP, DNS and familiarity with TCP, UDP.
• Experience of working with systems such as Apache Airflow, Apache Spark.
• Experience of working with any third-party-cloud (Azure, AWS,GCP) systems.
• Have the ability to guide and mentor team members.
