Role Overview:
The Business Head - Click to WhatsApp Ads Vertical will lead end-to-end strategy, operations, and growth for our newly formed vertical.
Reporting directly to the leadership, you will own the P&L for this business unit, shape the go-to-market approach, and build a high-performing team.
Your core objective is to establish AiSensy as the top solution for brands and advertisers to leverage Click to WhatsApp Ads.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define the vision and strategic roadmap for the Click to WhatsApp Ads vertical, aligning with AiSensy's overall growth objectives.
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term plans, ensuring sustainable profitability and market share growth.
- Identify new product/service opportunities within the Click to WhatsApp Ads domain, informed by industry trends and customer feedback.
P&L Ownership & Performance Management:
- Own the vertical's budget, forecasting, and financial performance (revenue, margin, ROI).
- Set ambitious but achievable targets for the team, tracking progress against KPIs and adjusting strategies as needed.
Team Building & Leadership:
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a cross-functional team (sales, account management, campaign specialists, etc.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance, creating an environment where talent flourishes.
- Lead by example, demonstrating high levels of motivation, professionalism, and integrity.
Sales & Go-to-Market Execution:
- Collaborate with the Sales organization to design and implement sales strategies tailored for Click to WhatsApp Ads.
- Oversee pipeline management, ensuring sufficient lead flow and successful deal closures.
- Work with the Marketing team to develop messaging, collateral, and campaigns that highlight the value proposition of Click to WhatsApp Ads for prospective clients.
Product Positioning & Innovation:
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to enhance the Click to WhatsApp Ads offering.
- Translate customer and market feedback into actionable product features or improvements.
- Advocate for technology innovation (automation, analytics dashboards, AI-driven optimizations) that differentiate AiSensy in the market.
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners (e., advertising agencies, channel partners).
- Ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction, optimizing the user journey from ad click to WhatsApp conversation and beyond.
- Serve as a strategic advisor and thought leader for clients on best practices in leveraging WhatsApp Ads.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate closely with other internal teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Finance) to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and resources.
- Champion the needs of the Click to WhatsApp Ads vertical internally, advocating for resources and support.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Keep a pulse on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging channels in the paid advertising and messaging space.
- Proactively refine strategies and positioning to maintain market leadership.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Implement robust reporting frameworks to capture campaign performance, ROI, and lifetime value of leads.
- Provide regular updates and data-driven insights to the executive team regarding vertical performance and future roadmap.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or ad tech, with at least 3-4 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of owning P&L and driving significant revenue growth within a startup or high-growth environment.
Domain Expertise:
- Deep understanding of Click to WhatsApp Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and other online advertising platforms.
- Strong grasp of lead generation, conversion optimization, and digital marketing metrics (CPC, CPM, CPA, CTR, LTV, etc.
- Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API and chat commerce is a strong plus.
Leadership & Management Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with C-level executives, clients, and partners.
- Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
Business Acumen:
- Solid financial and analytical skills; able to interpret data and translate insights into strategy.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic (vision, roadmap, partnership development) and operational (team management, day-to-day oversight) levels.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong presentation skills; experience pitching to senior leadership, investors, or clients.
- Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
