Job Description
- Design and develop the application/software layer for Robotics projects independently, with a primary focus on drones.
- Analyze project requirements and propose architecture solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams both locally and globally.
- Strong C++ experience (boost libraries, C++11 or above).
- Good understanding of ROS / ROS2.0 architecture.
- A clear understanding of Robotic navigation, mapping, SLAM, etc.
- Familiarity with implementing FSM (Finite State Machines).
- Experience in ROS tools (Gazebo, Rviz, etc.).
- Strong mathematical and physics knowledge.
- Experience with version control concepts and software (e.g., svn, git, ClearCase).
- Experience in C++ 11.0 and above standards.
- Python programming experience.
- Unit testing proficiency (Gtest, ROSTest).
- Experience working with differential drive robots.
- Basic control of a drone.
- Drone exploration capabilities.
- Drone navigation expertise.
- Simulation in the loop (SITL) experience.
- Bridging PX4 and ROS2.
- Knowledge of RTPS (Real-Time Publish-Subscribe) protocol.
- Familiarity with the ROS-Mavlink bridge package (MAVROS).
- Understanding of DDS (Data Distribution Service).
- Knowledge of micro-RTPS (client/FCU side) and Fast-CDR (agent/companion side) for serialization and deserialization.
- Proficiency in RTPS-supported and Mavlink-supported communication.
- Detecting and troubleshooting software issues.
- Write clear, high-quality code for software and applications and participate in test reviews.
- Develop, implement, and test APIs.
- Provide input on software development projects.
- Comfortable using programming languages and relational databases.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- 3+ years of development experience.
