Account Executive

Reporting To: Finance Manager / Accounts Head

Job Summary:

• The Account Executive will handle the financial operations, book-keeping, and reporting for the company. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers from international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Management:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and intercompany accounts.
• Process invoices and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

International Transactions:

• Manage payments to international suppliers and handle foreign currency transactions.
• Monitor and report exchange rate fluctuations affecting imports.
• Coordinate with banks for letter of credit (LC), wire transfers, and other international payment methods.
• Ensure compliance with customs duties, taxes, and import regulations.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Prepare and file tax returns, including GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
• Stay updated on local and international tax laws and regulations affecting the business.
• Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory policies.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Provide cost analysis and budget recommendations to management.
• Monitor inventory valuation and its impact on financial statements.

Coordination and Communication:

• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and logistics teams for payment and shipment-related matters.
• Work with auditors during financial audits and resolve audit queries.
• Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to ensure seamless operations.

MS-Office Knowledge:

• Candidate should have good knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Word, Power Point etc.). He must be capable of making innovative reports on excel or word when needed.

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related fields.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally).
• Knowledge of import documentation and foreign currency transactions.
• Strong understanding of TDS, and other tax regulations.
