Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant for our Group companies based headquartered in Bangalore. This position requires overseeing various accounting functions, including complex financial analysis, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to internal stakeholders by analyzing financial data to inform business decisions, all while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:  

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to company and accounting standards.
• Account Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger by accurately recording and classifying all financial transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and provide insights to management for informed decision making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, providing financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and review tax returns to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and supporting information during the audit process.
• Internal Controls: Review and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Team Leadership: May lead and mentor junior accounting staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate accounting role
3. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., TALLY Prime Gold) and advanced Excel skills
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
6. Effective communication and collaboration skills
