Engineer - Raw Material | Transmission Tower - Nigeria

Role and Responsibilities.

1. Should have knowledge about raw material specifically steel structure profiles like angles, channels, beams, plates, rods, pipes etc. and Raw Material transactions like receipt, unloading, storing, identification, stock monitoring, issuance etc.

2. Should have expertise in day-to-day production planning Activity with reference to work various orders, production process for various products, preparation of Bill of materials, material stock keeping / reconciliation , basic knowledge of AUTOCAD and should be able to read and understand various structural shop drawings

3. Should have good knowledge about required steel dimensions and chemical/mechanical properties as per IS/ASTM/BSEN/JIS standards

5. Should have expertise in Planning and raw material management and capable of working in a computerized environment particularly SAP/ERP/Navision for updating stocks/daily transactions

6. Should have good knowledge about material handling equipment and stacking activities for various types of materials

7. Should have operational knowledge about straightening machines for angles and its troubleshooting

8. Should have the capability to handle inter departmental activities and provide training to bottom level team members

10. Should have good knowledge of ISO/IMS procedures

11. Should have good knowledge to handle Internal and External audit as per applicable departmental procedure.

12. Should have good nature to build up interpersonal relations with another department.

13. Should have good knowledge for Implementation of 5s concept.

14. Should have good knowledge about General Safety rules with Its effectiveness.

15. Should have good knowledge about inventory management

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Mechanical engineer/Graduate/Diploma

Preferred Skills: Should have specific Experience in Planning along with Raw Material management of various steel structure profiles in manufacturing Industries.
