Quality Analyst - Manual Testing (3-6 yrs)

Role : QA Engineer-Manual Testing

Relevant Experience : 3+ years

Location : Bangalore/Mysore/Coimbatore

Work mode : Work from office

Notice period : Max 30 days

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.

- Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs and ensure application functionality aligns with specifications.

- Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software.

- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.

- Work with development teams to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues.

Collaboration :

- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

- Provide timely feedback and recommendations for improving software quality and testing processes.

- Ensure adherence to QA best practices and methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

- Advocate for quality and testability in design and development phases.

- Generate detailed reports on testing results, including metrics on test coverage, defect density, and test execution.

- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of testing efforts and overall application quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 3-6 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Hands-on experience with test management tools and defect tracking tools.

- Not a requirement but proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript) is a plus

- Not a requirement but experience with automation tools like playwright, Selenium, or similar is plus

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience in testing cloud-based applications or systems.

- Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.

- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
