Senior Analyst - Research & Advisory - Life Sciences/Pharma (1-5 yrs)

The Clinical Development Technologies (ClinTech) team focuses on current and anticipated trends in life sciences (pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices) clinical development and the impact of those trends on the software products and platforms.

The ClinTech team advices life sciences enterprises and product/platform providers on how the clinical development technology stack should evolve. From our published reports to custom decision support, ClinTech team supports clients though its fact-based data and insights to analyse and assess market trends and topical issues (such as decentralized clinical trials,

EHR to EDC, increased use of analytics, etc.) and product provider capabilities.

This is an exciting industry segment and the Senior Analyst will be expected to analyse developments in the clinical development space due to changing regulations, cutting edge technologies, and new type of therapies (e.g., cell and gene therapies). The Senior Analyst is expected to contribute to the research program by delivering high quality, original research reports and custom advisory projects.

This will require the candidate to maintain an ongoing dialog with senior industry executives on key issues, as well as help answer their queries. The candidate will be required to deliver custom research engagements within the clinical development area and occasionally in other areas in life sciences.

Key responsibilities:

- Identify areas of research based on industry and client needs

- Problem solve and structure work to manage deliverables and timelines

- Contribute significantly to the published research agenda of the ClinTech practice

- Lead medium sized custom research engagements

- Actively develop domain expertise across ClinTech, leveraging subject matter experts, and external sources

- Support business development efforts through proposal writing and other initiatives

- Participate proactively in external market communication by responding to analyst inquiries, conducting executive conversations, and maintaining/growing long-term client relationships

Education & experience:

- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred (preferably from Tier-1 B-School)

- Experience in at least one product/platform used in clinical trials (EDC, CTMS, RTSM, eCOA, RBM, Data and Analytics platforms, etc.) is a must

1 to 4 years work experience as one of the following:

- Business analyst leading configuration for implementation of clinical development products/platforms of Medidata, Oracle, Veeva, etc.

- Consultant advising life sciences companies on product/platform selection in clinical development

- Product manager or client success manager for a clinical development product/platform provider

- Strong understanding of products/platforms used in clinical development and their features and functionalities

- History of excellence in academics, personal and vocational achievements
