Should Costing Engineer - Automotive

We are a dynamic, innovation-driven team of approximately 100 professionals based in Bangalore. Our mission is to revolutionize manufacturing industries with cutting-edge technology. We ve developed two software platforms that serve some of the biggest names in the automotive, off-highway, consumer electronics, and consumer durables sectors:

1. xcPEP: A comprehensive cost engineering platform.
2. xcPROC: A marketplace for discovering parts and suppliers.

We are looking for a talented Should Costing Engineer with expertise in the automotive sector to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and cost drivers, as well as hands-on experience in implementing should costing methodologies.

1. Develop and execute should costing methodologies for various automotive components, including castings, forgings, moldings, fabrications, stampings, PCBs, etc.
2. Analyze cost drivers such as material, labor, and overheads, and provide insights for cost optimization.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
4. Conduct cost simulations and what-if scenarios to explore potential savings.
5. Ensure that cost estimates are precise, reliable, and aligned with project timelines and budgets.
6. Provide strategic sourcing recommendations based on cost, quality, and supplier performance.
7. Track, monitor, and report project costs, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule.

1. Education : Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in should costing, cost engineering, or a similar role within the automotive industry.

1. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers of parts.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
4. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
5. Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
