Job Title: Senior Should Costing Engineer

Location: Chennai (Work from Office)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Should Costing Expertise:
  Apply your 7-12 years of experience in should costing to analyze and estimate costs for products, components, and processes. Ensure accurate cost breakdowns and cost optimization strategies.
• Engine Casting Knowledge:
  Preferred experience in Engine Casting or similar domains for accurate costing and cost-saving strategies.
• Software Proficiency:
  Experience with CREO and other CAD software to evaluate the design, material, and manufacturing processes from a cost perspective.
• Documentation Handling:
  Work on documentation related to product development, including PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), ensuring that all steps comply with required standards.
• Cross-Functional Communication:
  Interact with multiple departments such as design, production, procurement, and quality to gather necessary data and support cost optimization efforts. Effectively communicate costing findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Cost Optimization:
  Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions while maintaining product quality and meeting technical specifications.
• Cost Model Creation:
  Develop cost models for components, assemblies, and systems based on data inputs from various departments and cost drivers.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: BE/ME in Mechanical, Automobile, Manufacturing, Production, or any relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Should Costing, preferably in engine casting or related industries. Candidates with 7-12 years of experience will be given preference.
• Skills: Strong understanding of cost drivers in manufacturing processes. Proficient in CREO and similar tools for design evaluation. Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and other industry-standard documentation processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
