Engineering Technical Lead (9-15 yrs)

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Lead Innovation & Emerging Tech Engineering to lead our team focused on driving cutting-edge technology solutions and future-proofing our product, technology and customer as well as related Digital Experience initiatives.

This role requires a deep understanding of Android TV, AOSP, the mobile ecosystem, and digital experience systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

- Develop and execute a long-term innovation strategy aligned with the company's overall vision.

- Identify emerging technologies and trends that can enhance our product, technology and subscriber experience.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and allocate resources for innovation projects.

- Conduct regular technology landscape scans.

- Evaluate potential benefits and risks of new technologies.

- Prepare reports and briefings for stakeholders on emerging trends.

- Recommend pilot projects or proofs of concept for promising technologies (in collaboration with Product Leads).

- Develop frameworks for assessing technology readiness and organizational fit.

Technology Innovation :

- Explore and evaluate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, IoT, and AR/VR to identify potential applications.

- In-depth understanding of Cloud technologies.

- Drive the development of innovative features and services that differentiate our Digital Experience Program.

- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.

Digital Experience :

- Enhance the user experience by optimizing the product, technology & customer ecosystem for performance, usability, and accessibility.

- Drive the development of intuitive and engaging user interfaces.

- Leverage data analytics to understand user behavior and personalize the TV experience.

Future-Proofing :

- Anticipate future trends and challenges in the TV industry and develop strategies to address them.

- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.

- Collaborate with industry partners and academic institutions to foster innovation.

Required Qualifications :

- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Strong understanding of Android TV, AOSP, and the mobile ecosystem.

- Experience in leading and managing technical teams.

- Proven track record of delivering innovative products and solutions.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with digital experience design and user experience research.

- Experience with Design Thinking methodology will be an added advantage.

- Knowledge of cloud technologies and microservices architecture.

- Experience with AI, machine learning, and data science.
