About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team.
This role is crucial for driving revenue growth and expanding our client base.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development within the legal or consulting industry, a strong understanding of the legal landscape, and excellent relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify and target potential clients in key industries and practice areas.
- Develop and implement strategies for acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target organizations.
- Manage client communication and ensure client satisfaction.
- Conduct regular client meetings and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and business development activities in a CRM system.
Market Research & Strategy:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify business opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Analyze market data and develop strategic recommendations for business growth.
- Monitor industry publications and attend relevant conferences to stay informed about market developments.
- Contribute to the development of the firm's overall business development strategy.
Pitching & Proposals:
- Develop compelling proposals, pitch decks, and presentations that effectively communicate the firm's value proposition.
- Prepare and present proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms.
- Collaborate with lawyers and other team members to develop winning proposals.
Networking & Partnerships:
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key influencers, industry leaders, and potential referral sources.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with complementary businesses.
- Actively participate in relevant professional organizations.
Revenue Growth & Target Achievement:
- Develop and execute business development plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Track progress towards targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results.
- Contribute to the overall financial success of the firm.
Qualifications:
- Education: MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within a law firm or consulting firm.
Skills:
Strong understanding of the legal industry and legal services.
Proven track record of successful client acquisition and relationship management.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and execute business development strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g, Salesforce).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong negotiation and closing skills
