Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Opportunity Identification:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential partnerships to expand the company's reach.
- Conduct in-depth market research to uncover new market segments, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Proactively identify, pursue, and engage potential clients and partners to grow the business.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners.
- Understand client requirements and tailor solutions to meet their needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
- Act as a point of contact for key accounts, managing inquiries, negotiations, and post-sales support.
Sales & Lead Generation:
- Generate qualified leads and build a strong sales pipeline through outbound efforts (cold calling, networking, and attending industry events).
- Convert prospects into clients by presenting compelling value propositions and closing deals.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and sales strategies.
Proposal & Negotiation:
- Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and contracts that align with client needs and business objectives.
- Lead negotiations and manage the closing process, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, product development, and operations) to ensure alignment on business goals and client requirements.
- Coordinate with marketing to create lead generation campaigns and brand awareness strategies.
- Ensure a smooth transition of client relationships to the account management or operations team post-sale.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and industry developments to identify new opportunities for business growth.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of business development initiatives, pipeline progress, and overall performance.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to assess business development strategies and optimize efforts.
Business Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve internal business processes to increase efficiency, client satisfaction, and profitability.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of the company's sales and business development strategies.
Brand Development & Networking:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings.
- Build the company's brand reputation and increase visibility through strategic business partnerships.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in [industry, e.g., technology, fintech, etc.
- Proven track record of successfully generating leads, closing sales, and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of business development strategies, client relationship management, and market trends.
- Experience in preparing proposals, presentations, and contracts, and negotiating deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving business growth and profitability.
Additional Information:
- Reporting to: Head of Business Development or Sales Director.
- This position may require travel to client meetings, conferences, and industry events
