Category Manager

Role & responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to drive organic revenue growth for new categories.
-Manage full P&L responsibility, ensuring financial targets are met.
-Conduct market research to understand the needs and preferences of the target audience.
-Create and execute a go-to-market strategy for the category, from 0 to 1.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure successful launch and growth.
-Monitor category performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize growth and profitability.
-Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and improvement within
category.
-Build and lead a team to support category initiatives and objectives.
-Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; MBA preferred.
-Proven experience in category management, preferably in the EdTech industry.
-Strong understanding of the education domain and the needs of students and educators.
-Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and managing P&L.
-Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make strategic decisions.
-Strong leadership and team management skills.
-Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take a category from 0 to 1.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Experience in launching new products or categories in the EdTech space.
-Familiarity with digital marketing and growth hacking strategies.
-Knowledge of SEO, YouTube operation, YouTube growth, Content marketing, and other organic growth techniques.
