Job Description
Experience
- 20-25 years of experience in the Real Estate Development industry
Education Qualification
- Bachelors in Engineering
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment across all real estate development projects
- Provide specialized safety input to engineering, construction, and contracts, thus ensuring that safety requirements are properly integrated into project planning, design criteria, construction plans and specifications and contracts
- Ensure a robust construction safety framework is in place by defining Health Safety minimum requirements during pre-sanction phase, pre-construction phase, construction phase of construction projects
- Lead and direct the safety team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive a culture of safety excellence
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective control measures to mitigate safety hazards
- Ensure preparation of detailed execution plan basis safety scope of work post award of contract inclusive of all safety considerations and coordinate with site teams for administering the prescribed requirements before the commencement of work
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards
- Embed ESG and Sustainability policies of the organization into Health and Safety aspects of construction. Maintain contact, as appropriate, with government regulatory resource agencies to obtain current information on new regulations, program initiatives, and technical requirements standards
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging safety technologies to continuously improve safety performance
- Communicate safety performance metrics and initiatives to senior management and stakeholders
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external safety organisation
