Deputy Manager or Assistant Manager - Electrical

*Key Responsibilities of Role

• Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems in the mining environment
• Developing and executing strategies to optimize electrical infrastructure for operational efficiency
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards related to electrical engineering
• Providing technical expertise and guidance for electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support project planning and execution
• Supervising and mentoring junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
• Participating in the evaluation and selection of electrical equipment and technology vendors
• Contributing to the development of long-term maintenance plans for electrical systems and equipment
• Conducting regular inspections and audits to assess the performance and integrity of electrical installations.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in electrical system design and analysis
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., MSHA, IEEE)
• Experience with electrical equipment selection, installation, and maintenance
• Familiarity with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical)
• Understanding of power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation
• Ability to conduct electrical risk assessments and implement mitigation measures

• Expertise in electrical engineering within the Coal Mining industry
• Demonstrated leadership in managing electrical projects and teams
