Electrical Engineer

Purpose of the Position:

• To provide engineering expertise to supervise the installation of

electrical system in huge range of high-rise healthcare infrastructure

projects from the start of construction to handover of the project.

• Working with high, medium and low voltage distribution systems.

Meanwhile, confirming system's and components' capabilities by

designing testing methods and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform and/or supervise work involving major design installation,

maintenance, and repair of transmission, sub-transmission and

distribution lines, substation, capacitors, relays, circuit breakers,

transformers, lighting equipment, generators, and related apparatus

and systems.

• Coordinate and oversee the installation and testing of electrical

equipment and control systems.

• Assess potential risks and critical activities at site.
• Check the contractors RA bills and submit it to the RM for review.
• Make recommendations concerning the engineering, design,

operation, and maintenance of substations, transmission, subtransmission,

and electrical distribution networks.

• Initiate purchase orders for materials and components of the

transmission and distribution system; maintains liaison with central

stores to assure adequate stock.

• Draft specifications for components of the transmission,

distribution, and substation systems.

• Review blueprints of the projects to ensure they meet the

requirements and to determine the size of the electrical service and

transformers.

• Ensure compliance of the electric utility with local, state, and federal

laws and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues.

• Read plats, maps, and construction plans. Translate accumulated

field data and engineering data into construction plans using

standard drafting techniques and computer-aided-drafting system

(CAD).

• Analyze and recommend possible solutions to electrical engineering

problems.

Special Skills w.r.t. job (if any)

• Good knowledge of operating design and visualizations software

such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar.

• Sound knowledge of BIM would be an added advantage.
• Strong supervision and communication skills.

Essential Areas/ Factors in which incumbent should have experience:

• Extensive experience in the execution of Electrical work in highrise

hospital buildings.

• Successful project completion, showcasing proficiency in latest

electrical equipment, techniques and methodologies.

• Coordination with Contractors, Consultants, Architects and other

stakeholders.

Most important contribution and outcome needed :

• Strategically monitor and manage the planning and execution part

of the electrical work in high-rise hospital buildings, ensuring

safety compliance and design excellence.
