Head - Project Monitoring & Control - DCS

Head DCS, position monitors and manages DCS projects progress and ensure that the operations on the projects are carried on in an appropriate way and in conformance with the contractual obligations, and delivery with quality, safety, time, and cost considerations

Education:

BE / B. Tech, ME / M. Tech Electrical / Mechanical, PMP certification preferred

Experience:

15 - 20 Years of Experience preferably in PMCG.

Role & responsibilities

• Monitoring the progress on engineering, procurement, construction, payments against approved contract
• Identifying critical activities for the project and giving topmost attention to resolve them within scheduled time to avoid possible bottlenecks and delay in execution.
• Managing diverse team, anchoring the construction activities, and ensuring completion of project within the targeted time and cost.
• Resource and task management for completion and handover of project within budget and time parameters.
• Cost Estimation/Cost Control and cost reduction for the project.
• Coordinating with internal resources, vendors/subcontractors, Client/Consultant, and other external stakeholders for timely and quality delivery of services & procurement of materials
• Coordinate with stakeholders to arrange necessary coordination meetings and the preparation of the minutes of the meetings.
• Contract Implementation, change management, Claim management and Contract closure.
• Compliance with Health, Safety and environmental standards, ISO standards and other statutory compliances, registrations, permits, etc.
• Monitoring the progress of deliverables submission from the contractors and ensuring its timely review/revert by our team, with our affecting project schedule.
• Preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports for the management
• Keep a track on various business opportunities (internal or external) for DCS implementation and develop MIS for DCS
• Identify the critical activities for the projects and highlight the issue, if any, to avoid any possible bottlenecks and delay in execution.
• Always keep handy, all the business decks and narratives about DCS plans/projections, to ensure quick response to the queries from other internal departments pertaining to DCS business
• Working with team.
• Handling interpersonal conflicts promotes collaboration and respect among the team.
• Smooth communication with stakeholders
• Training needs identification of employees under him for team growth.
• Work experience with leading organizations
• Good project planning experience and exposure to related softwares
• Strong hands-on experience on the execution of green field and brownfield projects and good exposure on T&C and O&M aspects of the project, preferably in EP/HVAC/Utilities/Real Estate sector.
