Senior Officer-Environment

Purpose/Objective

Support Head – Environment in Monitoring Environment of Port Site. Ensuring Ambient Environment is Healthy for Port Community and Workers

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Timely preparation of all statutory compliance reports, MIS and monthly department data and records - To develop & implement the environment safety guards in EMP recommendations by regulatory authorities - Ensuring Environment monitoring by third party as per schedule - Collecting Environment data, Waste data, Wastewater data & preparation of master record sheet - Coordinate with contractors and supervisors to manage the waste handling systems e. g. , OWC, Hazardous waste, Non-hazardous Waste, Biomedical waste. Improve the impact of the organization on the environment - Take initiative on sustainable project like organic manure from food waste, Waste to wealth etc - Ensuring compliance to all statutory clearance conditions - Ensuring all NoCs from OPCB are valid & in force - Inspect various operational areas for checking compliance of Environmental stipulation and its applicable norms. - Promote learning of all employees & ensure development of key identified talent - Develop leadership skills & build talent capability - Embrace digital technology in his domain area

Technical Competencies

Environment Laws & Guidelines,Knowledge in IMS & Sustainability,Statutory Compliance ,Budget, Cost Control, MIS

Qualifications and Experience

- BE/ B. Tech/M. Sc. in Environment - 7 years in Environment field in any Industry/Port
