Job Summary:

We are looking for a Datacom Testing Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality, performance, and functionality of Datacom systems and protocols. The candidate will be responsible for testing networking hardware, software, and communication protocols such as routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN technologies. This role requires expertise in testing methodologies, tools, and hands-on experience in network environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for Datacom protocols like Ethernet, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and others.
• Perform functional, performance, and scalability testing of networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Validate L2/L3 protocols, routing, switching, and WAN technologies.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and compliance issues.
• Utilize tools like Wireshark, Ixia, Spirent, or similar for traffic generation and protocol analysis.
• Collaborate with developers and network engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and defect reports.
• Analyze test results and work with cross-functional teams to validate fixes and enhancements.
• Ensure that testing complies with industry standards, protocols, and quality benchmarks.
• Support continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) by automating test scripts.
