Job Summary:

The Desktop Support Engineer will provide technical assistance to end users regarding computer hardware, software, and network-related issues. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and upgrading of IT systems to ensure optimal performance. This person will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, providing solutions in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide desktop support and maintenance for hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) for end users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
• Manage Active Directory (user accounts, group policy, permissions) and user access controls.
• Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components as necessary.
• Set up and configure new hardware, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Provide remote support using tools such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or Remote Desktop.
• Assist with networking issues, including wired and wireless connections.
• Perform system backups, recovery, and user data migrations.
• Maintain asset inventory, ensuring accurate records of IT equipment.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement and improve security protocols and systems.
• Document troubleshooting processes, solutions, and common issues in knowledge base articles.
