About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Chief Operating Officer to lead and oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations and supply chain management for our fast-growing FMCG company.
- The COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring efficient production, and optimizing the entire supply chain to meet the demands of a dynamic and competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Operations:
- Lead and manage all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Oversee plant operations, ensuring optimal equipment utilization, quality control, and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Implement and maintain robust quality management systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage plant maintenance and capital expenditure projects.
- Ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging materials to support production requirements.
Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement a robust and efficient supply chain strategy, including procurement, logistics, and warehousing.
- Manage the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Optimize inventory levels across the supply chain to minimize costs and ensure product availability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Oversee the warehousing and distribution of finished goods to ensure timely and efficient delivery to customers.
Team Management:
- Lead and manage a high-performing team of production managers, engineers, and supply chain professionals.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement long-term strategies for manufacturing and supply chain operations to support business growth and profitability.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in manufacturing and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- MBA/PGDM 18+ years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain management in the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of success in leading and managing manufacturing operations and supply chain functions.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, supply chain management software, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
