Instrumentation Designer

Job Title: Instrumentation Designer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop instrumentation layouts and control systems for oil and gas projects.
• Prepare and review detailed instrument design documents such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and datasheets.
• Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure all instrumentation systems meet project requirements.
• Support procurement and installation teams in the selection, specification, and installation of instruments and control systems.
• Participate in the design review process to ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and progress reports.
• Ensure the effective integration of instrumentation systems with other systems on the project.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving during installation and commissioning phases.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for project records.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 1-5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation design, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation, or similar tools).
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators, etc.
• Understanding of P&IDs, electrical schematics, and other instrumentation design documents.
