Dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world class systems running. Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge.

Summary:As a Linux Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support to clients and ensuring the smooth functioning of systems or applications. Your typical day will involve using your expertise in Linux Operations to accurately define and resolve client issues, while utilizing exceptional communication skills to maintain high-quality service. Key Responsibilities:

Support and troubleshoot administrate OEL & RedHat Linux Server technologies.

Provide server administration for Linux based environments. (RedHat HA & PCS cluster, Satellite/Proxy servers)

Provide Logical Volume Manager and Network/File system administration.

To be able to administrate the OS Level patches and vulnerability fix/report as per the SOX audit control.

Define and follow standards and best practices for server and operating system builds.

To be able to define and build physical/virtual/Cloud server environments.

Provide support on Linux servers running on ESXi/VMware/Azure/AWS server's concepts.

To be able to provide support for Disaster recovery (DR) concepts for critical apps & DBs (SAP, Oracle DB, etc..)

Develop and write server operating system design runbook documents.

Develop new processes and technologies to bring in automation wherever possible to reduce manual work.

To have additional knowledge on other operating systems such as Azure & OCI

To be Flexible and interest to learn/support technologies like... (NetApp Storage and Azure/OCI backup). Liaising with the customer technical representatives.

Provide recommendations to client on deployment of new features.

Create and Manage requests on ITSM tool.

Implement the changes as applicable, test the changes and handover to customer.

Troubleshoot issues with Linux Server Deployment

Ability to work in environments to provide 24X7 production support.

Provide ongoing support to clients, acting as the interface between the client and the system or application.

Utilize deep product knowledge to accurately define client issues and design effective resolutions.

Maintain world-class systems by employing exceptional communication skills and ensuring the smooth functioning of systems or applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality support and maintain client satisfaction.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in Linux Operations and related technologies to provide innovative solutions.Technical Requirements:

Minimum 6 years providing support for RedHat Enterprise Linux (Physical/Virtual) Linux administrators and/or RHCE equivalent experience in production environments.

Experience in remote administering of RedHat Enterprise Linux 6.x, 7.x & 8.x servers running in a 24X7 environment.

Experience in Red-hat High Availability cluster installation, configuration, and administration.

In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP protocols and LAN/WAN, network bonding, routing (NAT) configurations.

Configure and install Azure and OCI cloud virtual servers.

Design and build Ansible and terraform processes for advanced server builds.

Experience with PXE, Satellite, Proxy server, NFS, patch management (YUM) and end user support.

Experience with volume management using LVM utilizing both local and SAN/NAS disk storage.

Operating system Level Performance tuning and storage capacity planning.

Experience supporting corporate network-based services such as LDAP, DNS, NIS, NFS, SSH & CIFS concepts.

Strong shell scripting skill in bash and ksh, PERL and proactive monitoring.

Must be able to write (RCA)root cause analysis reports, project plans and architecture and design documents.

Solid understanding of SCSI, SANs, NAS, RAID and server backup/recovery processes and technology.

Experience designing, building and supporting SAP application development environments.

Experience in physical/virtual servers migration experience on production environments.

Must have strong communications verbal/written and presentation skills.

Expertise in Linux Operations.

Experience with Red Hat Process Automation Manager.

Strong understanding of system or application support and maintenance.

Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Solid grasp of the latest advancements in Linux Operations and related technologies.Educational Qualification

B.E Additional Information

The candidate should have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Linux Operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Information Technology Operations, computer science, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.

Good To have Azure, AWS and OCI cloud platform Knowledge.

Must have Certification on Redhat Linux and cloud technologies like RHCE, Azure, AWS Etc..
