Summary:As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and providing technical support to end-users. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting and resolving application issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the improvement of system performance and stability.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Expected to perform independently and become an SME.

Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.

Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.

Provide technical support to end-users and ensure timely resolution of their queries.

Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement.

Participate in the development and implementation of application enhancements and upgrades.

Conduct root cause analysis of application failures and implement preventive measures.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance application support services. Professional & Technical Skills:

Must To Have Skills:Proficiency in UNIX Shell Scripting.

Good To Have Skills:Experience with Linux, Oracle Database Administration.

Strong understanding of UNIX Shell Scripting and its applications in system administration.

Experience in troubleshooting and debugging UNIX-based applications.

Knowledge of system monitoring tools and techniques.

Familiarity with database management systems and SQL queries.

Ability to analyze and interpret log files to identify and resolve issues.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Additional Information:

The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in UNIX Shell Scripting.

This position is based at our Pune office.
