Summary:We are seeing a highly skilled AIOps, Observability, and IT Automation strategist with 15+ years of large enterprise IT experience to join the CIO Strategy, Research, and Innovation Smart Operations team. In this role you will be responsible for setting the strategy, vision, and direction for:

Monitoring and observability for network, cloud, compute, endpoint, and application

AIOps event management and autonomous resolution

IT infrastructure automation and orchestration

Network configuration management and network automation Roles & Responsibilities:You will work closely with the relevant architecture, automation, and operations teams and collaborate with technical teams across IT domains. You will propose, author, and present briefs, papers, and decks setting the 2-5 year direction in these spaces. You will also contribute to the strategy and vision in related, sibling domains (e.g., security, data, AI, workforce, network, cloud). The ideal candidate must have a deep technical background across all IT infrastructure areas, a willingness for ongoing learning and study, and an ability to process and interpret academic, research, and vendor literature. The candidate must have a design/architecture mindset, an ability to think big and embrace innovation, and a willingness to disrupt, fail, and try again. BS and MS in IT, computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline

15 years enterprise IT experience

AIOps engineering and design

Monitoring and observability architecture for network, cloud, compute, and application

Network and application performance engineering

Network operations and architecture

Network layer four services architecture

Linux system administration and architecture

Statistics and data analytics

IT process analysis, hyper-automation, and orchestration design

Ansible/automation development and design

General cloud and compute design

Strong English communication skills, including writing and presentation

Ability to read, comprehend, and summarize academic, industry, and think-tank literature

Event management engineering and design

Understanding of current trends in IT network/compute/cloud infrastructure

Security and operational logging for network, compute, and application

Elementary skill and familiarity with generative AI

Familiarity with traditional machine learning (ML) techniques

Strong analytics and problem solving skills

Willingness to continually learn, pivot, and adapt to stay current with the current IT landscape Additional Information:
