Summary:As a Security Engineer, you will apply security skills to design, build and protect enterprise systems, applications, data, assets, and people. You will provide services to safeguard information, infrastructures, applications, and business processes against cyber threats. Your typical day will involve utilizing your expertise in security information and event management (SIEM) to ensure the security of our organization's systems and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, implement security measures, and respond to security incidents. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our organization's information and assets.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.

Responsible for team decisions.

Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.

Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.

Ensure the implementation and maintenance of security controls to protect systems and data.

Monitor and analyze security events and incidents using SIEM tools.

Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis.

Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards.

Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risks.

Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security solutions.

Provide guidance and support to other teams on security best practices.

Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a security-conscious culture.

Participate in incident response activities and assist in the development of incident response plans.

Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Professional & Technical Skills:

Must To Have Skills:Proficiency in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).

Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies.

Experience with security incident response and forensic analysis.

Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.

Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.

Good To Have Skills:Experience with cloud security and identity and access management (IAM).

Recommendation:Proficiency in network protocols and technologies.

Experience with security assessment and penetration testing.

Knowledge of encryption algorithms and cryptographic protocols.

Understanding of security risk assessment methodologies.

Ability to analyze and interpret security logs and events.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Should be good with managing the large scale SOC , deeply skilled in SIEM & EDR alert management, proficient in Crowdstrike & Defender EDR tools , Google Chronical SIEM etc
Additional Information:

The candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).

This position is based at our Bengaluru office.

A 15 years full time education is required.
