Project Role :Infra Tech Support Practitioner




Project Role Description :Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Red Hat Linux Administrator for DB2 infra support:Must have skills:Linux administrator (Red Hat Linux), DB2 infra support
Good to have skills:VMware, vRA, VxRAIL, Shell scripts, HA Cluster, RoCE Years of experience:Relevant experience 8-10 years, total experience more than 10 years
Roles & Responsibilities:

Strong knowledge in technical aspects of Linux System Administration and best practices.

Perform system installation, configuration, and upgrades.

Strong knowledge in SSSD configuration, RoCE configuration, PCI passthrough, Satellite, Capsule and RedHat portal for patch management.

Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.

Ensure system security by applying security patches, configuring firewalls, and implementing intrusion detection systems.

Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl) to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with DB2 database administrators to troubleshoot database performance issues.

Monitor DB2 database performance metrics and identify potential problems.

Assist in database backup and recovery procedures.

Provide support for database migrations and upgrades.

Work closely with application teams to resolve database-related issues.

Should have worked on assessing and optimizing System Performance and Tuning

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Linux systems and DB2 databases.

Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify root causes.

Implement security best practices to protect Linux systems and DB2 databases.

Good understanding with systems security implementation and vulnerability management.

Good Knowledge of Networking, Routing, Storage Backup, SAN & NAS

Hands on in capacity planning and optimization of infrastructure to maximize efficiency and reliability.

Managing & troubleshooting experience with complex cluster environment

Strong knowledge on Virtualization Vmware/RHEV/KVM, VRA

Working experience of administering, using VxRail environment & managing storage allocations and disk expansion.

Creating and managing comprehensive disaster recovery plans.

Requirement gathering, analyzing and preparing solution.

Managing team and giving guidance to the junior team members.

Provide solution to the very critical issues in the environment.

Strong knowledge in the ITIL process such as Change Management and Problem management

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Linux environments with other enterprise systems and platforms.

Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Willingness to work in a 24 * 7 Environment on rotational shifts

Document administration processes/procedures to ensure optimal levels of support.


Summary:As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products, both remote and onsite. Additional Information:

The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Red Hat OS Administration

This position is based at our Pune office
