Head position | Technology Officer

Position Overview:

The Head | Technology Officer is responsible for managing the overall IT infrastructure, enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives.

This role requires expertise in SAP HANA and Tally Prime, ensuring seamless upgradation, optimization and security of accounting and financial systems.

The candidate will oversee IT operations, cybersecurity and business process automation while aligning IT strategies with organizational goals.

Job Responsibility:

1. IT Strategy & Management

• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures and strategies to support business
  operations.
• Align IT initiatives with business goals, ensuring efficiency and digital transformation.
• Oversee IT budgets, procurement and vendor management to optimize technology
  investments.

2. IT Infrastructure & Network Security

• Oversee IT infrastructure, including servers, data centres, network administration, system
  administration, storage and cloud solutions.
• Ensure high availability, reliability and security of IT systems across all locations.
• Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive business data and prevent cyber
  threats.
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and regulatory requirements.

3. Digital Transformation & Automation

• Lead automation and digital initiatives.
• Explore cloud computing solutions for enhanced scalability and performance.
• Implement IT solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

4. Understanding Business Needs & Identifying Software Upgrades

• Conduct meetings with key stakeholders (Sales, finance, operations, etc.) to understand pain
  points and new requirements.
• Analyse current software performance and identify gaps in functionality.
• Evaluate business growth and compliance changes that demand an upgrade.

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with SAP and Tally service providers for upgrades, customizations and support.
• Negotiate contracts with IT vendors and ensure cost-effective service delivery.
• Work closely with business heads to understand IT requirements and implement suitable
  solutions.

6. Team Leadership & Training

• Lead and mentor IT team members, ensuring continuous learning and skill enhancement.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in managing IT operations, preferably in manufacturing industry
  (Steel/Iron, Paint, Cement or any other industry)
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA and Tally Prime (upgradation, customization,
  troubleshooting, accounting management).
• Experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud servers.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving and collaborative attitude.
