Chief Business Officer - FinTech (14-20 yrs)

Operating in India (HQ: Gurgaon), focusing on digital lending and financial services. Initially founded as a subsidiary of a regional/Asian company, it has grown significantly within the Indian market through their mobile application. The organization is committed to improving credit access for the unbanked and underbanked segments of the population.

Key Details: Digital Lending: Focused on small-ticket personal loans ranging from - 1,000 to - 100,000, over 3-12 month period targeting underserved and low-income groups.

Who are we looking for:

- Vision Alignment: Drive the CEO/firm's vision of Financial Inclusion and digital lending, aligning with growth, Operational Excellence, Compliance & Talent management

- P&L Management: Devise and lead the effective implementation of business strategies to drive P&L through customer acquisition, achieving target credit / risk, collections and profitability metrics

- Business Expansion & Growth Management: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth plans

- Lead GTM vertical: Efficiently lead and collaborate with teams across Partnerships & Alliances, Disbursals, Operations, Risk, Underwriting, Collections, Customer Experience, PR

- Liaison with Regulators: Work with regulators, SRO / track competition in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

- Crisis & Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing robust controls and contingency procedures to minimise disruptions & safeguard firm interests

- Financial Acumen: Build healthy balance sheet with focus on strategic revenue planning, budgeting, cost control & forecasting

- Collaborate with founding team, drive effective boardroom conversations in building effective growth strategies & support the regional team in the IPO journey

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA or equivalent degree with focus on Operations/Strategy from top tier-I institute

- 14 - 20 years of experience in Financial Services (Fintech/NBFC/Ecommerce)

- Matrix reporting & multi-cultural alignment

- Experience in managing crisis, risks and compliance.

- Regulatory Management & Problem Solving

- Experience in leveraging technology in streamlining operations

- Strong leadership and management skills
