Manager - Procurement - Personal Care Business (7-12 yrs)

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing Raw material procurement to various external manufacturing sites across METAP & EUROPE geographies. This role will require a strategic approach to sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing and Supplier Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers for raw materials.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent supplies.

- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize purchasing efficiency.

- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues or concerns.

2. Import and Export Management:

- Manage the import & export process for raw materials from overseas suppliers.

- Coordinate with customs agents and logistics providers to ensure smooth and timely clearance of shipments.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including import/export regulations, quality standards, and environmental regulations.

3. Inventory Management:

- Implement purchasing strategies to meet production requirements while minimizing costs.

- Manage inventory levels at suppliers end to ensure adequate supplies in short lead time.

- Implement inventory control systems and procedures to optimize stock levels.

4. Cost Reduction:

- Continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs through price negotiations, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.

- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving initiatives.

5. Risk / Supplier Management:

- Identify and develop contingency plans to overcome supply disruptions due to quality issues and price fluctuations.

- Conduct regular supplier audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

- Negotiate and Monitor contract compliance and address any non-compliance issues.
