Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs, ensuring value for money, and maintaining the financial health of our projects. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project teams to provide accurate cost estimates, manage budgets, and contribute to the successful delivery of our developments.

Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost projections.
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and provide regular financial updates to project teams. Identify cost variations and potential risks, and propose cost-effective solutions to ensure projects stay within budget constraints.
• Quantity Takeoff and Measurement: Conduct quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings. Measure and assess quantities of materials and labor required for construction projects.
• Contract Management: Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents and contracts. Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Analyze and report on project cost performance, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 years of proven experience in quantity surveying within the real estate or construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
• Proficiency in relevant software for quantity surveying and cost estimation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
