Job Description

- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager with a background in Electric Vehicle (EV) or Automobile sales to lead and manage the sales operations across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Telangana.

- This role is pivotal in driving business growth, implementing effective sales strategies, establishing strong customer relationships, and meeting/exceeding sales targets within the assigned regions.

- The ideal candidate must be fluent in the local languages of the region they are based in, to effectively communicate with customers and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales Leadership & Strategy Implementation:

- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve area-specific targets and business objectives in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Telangana.

- Lead a team of sales representatives in the regions, ensuring alignment with company goals and target achievement.

- Identify new business opportunities and increase market share for Electric Vehicles (EVs) or Automobiles within the assigned regions.

- Customer Relationship Management:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, dealers, and partners in the assigned regions.

- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective sales and after-sales support, addressing customer needs and queries in a timely manner.

- Market Analysis & Reporting:

- Monitor trends in the EV and automobile markets, including competitor activities, industry developments, and customer preferences.

- Provide regular sales performance updates, forecasts, and insights to senior management.

- Adapt strategies based on regional market conditions and industry dynamics.

- Team Development & Coaching:

- Hire, train, and onboard new sales representatives in the regions, ensuring they have deep knowledge of EVs or Automobiles.

- Mentor and coach the sales team, developing their skills to drive higher sales performance.

- Foster a collaborative, motivated, and performance-driven team culture.

- Operational Excellence:

- Ensure adherence to company sales processes, policies, and ethical standards across all regions.

- Conduct regular sales meetings, share key insights, and resolve challenges to drive business success.

Qualifications:

Experience:

- 3-5 years of sales experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership position.

- Must have proven experience in -Electric Vehicle (EV) sales- or -Automobile sales- (preferably with a strong focus on sales strategy and team management).

- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and managing a successful sales team across multiple regions.

Skills & Competencies:

- In-depth knowledge of the EV and/or automobile industry, market trends, and customer behavior.

- Fluency in the -local language(s) of the region in which the candidate is based (e. , Marathi for Maharashtra, Gujarati for Gujarat, Hindi for Rajasthan, Kannada for Karnataka, and Telugu for Telangana).

- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

- Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.

- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.

- High organizational skills and time management
