Role Overview:

As a Hands-On Engineering Manager at 2070 Health, you will lead a team of engineers while actively contributing to development efforts. You will balance technical leadership, people management, and hands-on coding to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mentoring engineers, driving team performance, and solving complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership -

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions.
• Actively participate in coding and code reviews, ensuring clean and efficient code.
• Provide technical direction and make key architecture decisions.
• Solve challenging technical problems and deliver reliable, scalable systems.

Team Management -

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development sessions.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
• Support engineers by removing roadblocks and optimizing workflows.

Project Execution -

• Plan, prioritize, and manage technical projects and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to align on goals and requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Drive agile practices such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Collaboration & Communication -

• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Participate in technical roadmapping and strategic planning discussions.

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
