Safety Officer

Position : Safety Officer

Experience Level : 3-5 years

Qualifications: Diploma/ B.E in Industrial Safety

Location : Hosur

Responsibilities:

1. Compliance of statutory and legal requirement related to HSE. i.e., Liaison with SPCB, DISH, etc.

2. Preparation of Safety Plan, Emergency Response Plan, SOPs, HIRA, etc.

3. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend control measures.

4. Carry out regular safety inspections of machinery, equipment, and processes to identify and rectify

unsafe conditions.

5. Conducting Internal Safety Audit assure HSE requirements.

6. Conducting Mock drills, Fire drills, Safety Committee Meetings, etc.

7. Prepare, Plan and deliver training sessions for safety related topics.

8. Investigation of all kind of incidents & their CAPA compliance to prevent recurrence of incidents.

9. Reporting and compliance of Unsafe Act & Unsafe Conditions conducted by any personnel.

10. Ensure proper installation of Fire protection & detection system and other fire & safety equipment like Safety Showers, Eye washers, Spill Control Kit, Gas tester, sensors, SCBA Set, First Aid Boxes, etc.

11. Monitor workplace conditions, such as air quality, noise, and chemical exposure, to ensure they meet

safety standards.

12. Provide guidance on the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

13. Representing HSE department in various Audits conducted by third party agencies, clients,

customers, government bodies, etc.

14. Purchasing of such PPES in liaison with purchase department & vendors and further issuance to

concerns personnel.

15. Celebration of National Safety Day, National Fire Service Day, Environment Day by Conducting

various safety promotional activities.

16 .Promoting safe work culture in the plant.

17. Support various departments with the development and upkeep of ISO documentation.

18. Collect Sustainability data and ensuring reporting accuracy and completeness.

19. Oversee ESG audit compliance activities and manage corrective actions.
