Now a days expertise in Microsoft Excel, word, power point is must. I have see many candidate who tell us that they know Word, Excel but when asked to do small exercise on computer they are unable to perform. So candidate must learn all formula in Excel, like "IF function, Sum, Pivot table, link with other excel sheet, filter, conditional formatting etc.
If you are going for Designing in Engineering practice you must know AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, stress analysis software, Power system software like Digsilent, EDSA, ETAP. Lighting software like Chalmit, Dialux.
For instrumentation design candidate shall know about logic and basic of PLC programming. How to prepare I/O based on equipment data sheet, Interface with electrical signals. IF, AND , OR gates, Logic Diagram etc. Study data sheet of various instruments and electrical equipment's.
There are lot of calculation done in Excel for all type of Engineering Design.
ex:
1.Relay setting coordination.
2.Cable management system CMS.
3 Cable schedule.
4.Transformer sizing calculation, Load List,
5 Maximum demand calculation.
6. Capacitor sizing calculation.
7. Harmonic Analysis.
8. Flow analysis
9. I/O configuration
