Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: We were asked to give answers to the questionnaire on Psychometry. The questions were of multiple choice type. There were no right or wrong answers actually. The purpose of the test was to judge our Psychometry and to see our personality traits (e.g., introvert/extrovert).
Tips: The test had no weightage on the overall selection process. It was just to get a sense of the personality traits of the aspirants.
Duration: 30 minutes
Total Questions: 25

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: I was interviewed for about 10 minutes. Except a couple of questions (Why do I want to join ONGC?, What is Prof. Abdul Kalam's dream for India?) I was asked about my subject (Geology) and oil field only.
Tips: Be confident but do not be over smart. People sitting on the interview board are legends in their fields and a hint of arrogance can jeopardize your chance of getting selected.
