  • Ans.

Given an array of integers, determine if there are two numbers that add up to a specific target.

    • Iterate through the array and store each element in a hash set.

    • For each element, check if the difference between the target and the element exists in the hash set.

    • If the difference exists, return true; otherwise, continue iterating.

    • Example: nums = [2, 7, 11, 15], target = 9. The function should return true as 2 + 7 = 9.

(2 Questions)

  • Q1. Find equivalent capacitance for a infinity ladder structure.
  • Ans.

Equivalent capacitance for an infinity ladder structure can be found using the concept of series and parallel capacitance.

    • An infinity ladder structure consists of an infinite number of identical capacitors connected in a ladder-like pattern.

    • The capacitance of each individual capacitor in the ladder is assumed to be C.

    • To find the equivalent capacitance, we can consider the structure as a combination of series and parall...

To find circuit v, i, and equivalent resistance

    • Analyze the circuit to determine the voltage (v) and current (i) at specific points

    • Use Ohm's Law (V = IR) to calculate the voltage or current if resistance is known

    • To find equivalent resistance, combine resistors in series or parallel using appropriate formulas

    • Apply Kirchhoff's laws to solve complex circuits

(2 Questions)

  • Q1. Find the current during SC and open circuit conditions
  • Ans.

The current during SC (short circuit) and open circuit conditions depends on the specific circuit and components involved.

    • During short circuit conditions, the current will be very high as there is a direct connection between the power source and ground.

    • During open circuit conditions, there will be no current flow as the circuit is not complete.

    • The specific values of current during SC and open circuit conditions can onl...

Round 2 - Aptitude Test

Online Test

There were 3 colleges writing the online test(pool campus).Cut off was about 70% with no backs .This was probably the hardest of the entire recruitment process. It had about 20 technical and 20 aptitude questions and questions had NEGATIVE MARKING.

Technical questions were majorly focused on Circuit theory, network theorems, dependent source problems, time constant calculations, RC circuits and its graphs, and a very few problems on communication theory and signals and systems/DSP. The questions are actually easy provided you have solved those topics before hand . Do understand the behavior of RC circuits by watching a few videos on YouTube. Understand dependent source problems and solve problems based on those topics. If you study the subject Electric Circuit Analysis(ECA), which was part of our syllabus it would be sufficient. Again, don't study everything in ECA, focus on the topics mentioned above.

Aptitude questions were quite straight forward with mathematics involved, and some English/vocabulary based questions. Attend the placement training properly, you can grasp most of the concepts and attend many of the online tests with ease.
