  • Q2. Questions related to my resume, interest and future goals
  • Q3. The revenues earned by sales of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's Album in one month worldwide

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The questions were fairly simple and the time allotted for the test seemed appropriate.
Tips: Few days of practice can increase your understanding and speed of solving the problems. Online test practice on sites such as Indiabix.com helps a lot as they have a good variety of questions. For developing the concepts at initial stage books such as R.S. Aggarwal are good and for further practice Arun Sharma serves the purpose.
Duration: minutes minute
Total Questions: 45

Round: Guesstimate Interview
Experience: The interviewer was quite impressed by my way of presenting the numbers and estimates and also with the parameters I considered for solving the puzzle. I divided the population of India into different age-groups and regions (urban, rural) and then analyzed the approximate figure. As he is a Pakistani Singer so I considered the population of Pakistan and Arab countries as well. All this I presented in the form of a table.
Tips: Try to cover as much parameters as you can while solving these type of questions. This will develop by practicing and have a good idea about the population of your country, your state and city.Sites such as analyticsvidhya.com help to develop better understanding.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: I had a hard time solving this puzzle and was more of a brain-storming session. I spent 10-15 minutes just to find an approach that would atleast help me to begin the conversation with my interviewer. After sometime I took small-steps and tried to do it in the best possible way.
Tips: Use graphs and table for solving such questions as the way you present the information should be very comprehensive as well as simple.Even if you are not satisfied or convinced with your approach, present it in front of the interviewer with confidence.PS: If you cannot convince the other person, then confuse him.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: This is the most interesting round as you have to put forward your views about the industry you are entering into and what quality makes you a potential candidate for the job.
Tips: Have a good knowledge about each and every point you have mentioned in your resume and be clear about your future goals and interests.Always ask few questions when the interviewer asks you to do so at the end of the interview.

General Tips: Learn from every interview and every rejection that you encounter.Never get disheartened if you are rejected in the first few companies.Prepare yourself for all the rounds in the best possible way because there are no short-cuts to success.
Skills: Technical knowledge, Analytical skills, Communication skills
College Name: NIT JALANDHAR
Motivation: It was a perfect combination because the work is a blend of technical work related to my field (Biotechnology) and Business world.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Speed Maths was easy, it was such that
silly mistakes were quite probable. It lasted for an hour. English was for 1.5
hrs. It was based on TOFEL(speaking, writing, listening)

General Tips: Criteria for getting shortlisted for
Capgemini’s stages of selection was performing well in puzzles and maths.

They did not stress on PORs or internships,
neither did they take the minor into account. No case study topics asked were asked.1st years- Concentrate on CG, put fight for
Day 1, Day 2 companies

2nd years- Concentrate on CG,try learning
coding(coursera) and algorithmic and financial analytics.

Try to obtain an internship in the company
you want to get placed in. It may not be a very good intern, but should be a
meaningful one.

3rd years-Focus on CG, obtain a good
internship.

Practice maths in the last 4
months.(probability mainly)

obtain certifications like CFA, NCFM, etc.
College Name: IIT MADRAS

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Quant was most important for the tests, fast mathematics, then technical questions. Technical questions

generally asked by the company. The tests were mostly MCQ. Some tests were there which had subjective question papers. Those subjective type tests lasted 3 hours. They would write a program to do *task* type questions. The programming

language to write the code in, was our choice. The language options were C, C++, Python, Java. Python was rarely asked

Round: Group Discussion
Tips: The skills they wanted to test was to see how well they were able to express their ideas, but without outwardly disrupting others while talking.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The HR usually starts with “Tell me about yourself”. Then they go through the resume, and ask about the project (DDP, in this case) and internship. This was done by the HR team, just to see how the candidate is putting forth his ideas and contributions clearly. Two puzzles were given in the interview. The interview was at least 40 minutes, with 5 minutes of HR interview HR people were not interested in the depth of the resume, but rather on whether the candidate was able to talk or not. It was used to eliminate some people.
Tips: People with low CGPA had to perform exceptionally well to compensate for the low CGPA. For managerial positions, PoRs like coordships, coreships etc can be used to pitch your leadership qualities. They can start a chain of conversation that involves the work you did, on how you managed to execute the task efficiently, which ends up working in your favor.

Duration: 15 minutes

Round: HR Interview
Experience: I was tested on basic understanding of Big Data and tested on enthusiasm
Tips: Puzzles (for most startups) and HR & resume based for others mostly.prepare things very much related to the company.
