Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I saw a post on Linkedin that Lotus Interworks is hiring. I have applied via linkedin. Their HR named Anand Sharma called me and said he will share the assessment with me via email. After that there was no emails, no calls, no msgs receieved from them.
I have tried to call him multiple times. He was unresponsive. Neither he picked up my call nor he replied to my msgs. Then I messaged Seema Bisht their "Head Talenthunter" on Linkedin. She asked me to share my cv on her email. Then someone named Shakshi Sharma, contacted me. She shared the assignment , I have submitted it on time and then she said she will arrange my final round of interview on skype. There was no formal interview invite, but she mentioned one date on email.
On that particular day, I waited for 3 hours but the interviewer was not available. Then she said, it will be rescheduled after 2 days, again the interviewer was too busy. This rescheduling happend twice or thrice. Finally one day, I got the oppurtunity to talk with the interviewer Mr. Shubham Bhatnagar. His first question was, "Can you join us from tomorrow?"
Of course I was working somewhere, so I needed at least 15 days to handover all my projects. I said,"No, I need at least 15 days, which I also mentioned on the email."
He said," If you can't then there is no point to carry forward the interview."
I didn't say anything. He left the call.
My question to Lotus Interworks is, "If any of your employees want to resign without serving any notice period, is that okay with you?", "Will you allow that?"
And if that position needs to be filled immediately, how can you delay my interview for 15-20 days??
If it is not your intention to hire people for outside and you only hire from referals of your employees, please don't post your job openings, because candidates applied with lots of hope. Please don't waste anyone's time, when you have no intention to hire people.
