Interview Preparation Tips

Round: HR Interview
Experience: I went in and introduced myself. The HR person was a kind lady and made sure if I was comfortable.
Once she made sure that I am settled, she spoke to me about the company-what they do, what is it like to work there, responsibilities and expectations.
She went on and began the interview. In response to the first question, I told her about my ethnic and academic background, hobbies and future academic plans.
I took the second question as an opportunity to tell her about my skills and how they would contribute towards the success of the company.
In response to the the third question, I told her about the instances where I displayed skills such as time management, patience, attention to detail, pace, quality oriented etc.
To the fourth question, I answered about how the company fits my education and experience. I also mentioned how great of a learning experience it is for me.

Tips: Always dress professional as first impression is the last impression.
Make sure to highlight your skills and how they would help the company or the job responsibility. Never let go of any opportunity to 'sell' yourself.
Be confident and smile.
Send a Thank You email after the interview and express your interest in the company.

Round: Group Activity
Experience: A series of activities were held in which all the people who had cleared the interview got a chance to explore the comany and different departments, meet the staff and learn more about each other.
Tips: Always dress professional and look neat.
Make connections and increase your network.
Never let go of an opportunity to display your skills.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: HR Interview
Experience: I went in and introduced myself. The HR person was a very good lady and made sure if I was comfortable. She asked me how I am doing today.

Once she had everything settled, she gave me a little insight into the company - what they do, what is it like to work there, some responsibilities and expectations.

She then began the interview, and asked me to tell her about myself. I briefed her about my educational background, ethnic background, hobbies and future academic plans.

In her second question, she asked me about my strengths. I replied with great confidence as it was a great oppotunity to inform her about some of my skills and how that would benefit the company.

She then went ahead to the third question and I talked about the instances when I displayed skills like time management, problem solving, attention to detail, fast worker.

In response to the fourth question, I told her about how the company fits my experience and how great a platform it would be for me.
Tips: First Impression is the last impression so always dress professional.
Whenever given the opportunity, never hesitate to display your skills and 'sell' yourself.
Don't forget to express your thanks for scheduling an interview. Send her a Thank you email after the interview
Be confident and smile.

Round: Group Activity
Experience: It was just a session where all those who had cleared the interview met and indulged in various fun activities to explore the office, meet the heads and other faculty, and know more about each other.
Tips: Always dress professional and smile.
Never let go of any opportunity to show skills.
Make connections and indulge in healthy and informative discussions.
